- Skip lotions and oils: Don’t apply moisturizers, sunscreen, or oils directly on the tattoo. These can dissolve the ink or adhesive.
- Pat, don’t scrub: When cleaning the area, gently pat with a damp cloth. Never scrub or use exfoliants.
- Protect from heat: Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat, which can cause the tattoo to crack or fade.
- Touch up if needed: If edges start to lift, you can carefully trim them or reapply a small amount of water to press it back down.
